Why make AI play games?
I was wondering why so many companies are focusing on making AIs that beat games at a faster and faster pace? For eg, How does making an AI agent play Doom would help us? How would the agent’s skills be transferred to the real world? Would love to get some insight on this topic as I have been wondering about this for a while.
