I’ve heard of this method multiple times from many transhumanists and singularity users and forums that this method is the only viable method that truly allows the user to be uploaded and to avoid the copy problem. Some even go as far to say that this is a moravec transfer by hand moravec. Even Ray Kurzweil has said that a gradual enhancement would allow to the individual to retain his/her consciousness during such a procedure effectively avoiding many philosophical problems of identity and the self. What do you think? Is a gradual replacement of neurons with equivalent artificial neurons possible given that consciousness could be the “ software” running on the hardware “the brain?
