Will there be a time when AI speaks with itself and humans shut up (online)?

Will there be a time when AI speaks with itself and humans shut up (online)?

Every day a few new tools pop up to automate comments or posts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or Reddit. With progress in AI at breathtaking speed, will humans in three years' time still be interested in online interactions if most of the posts or replies are (semi) automatic?

And what will Reddit out Twitter do?

The only solution I see is limiting the number of posts per day, combined with better technology to detect automated signups.

What do you think? Am I too pessimistic?
