Will a masters in AI still get me far in the field? I don’t know if I can do a PhD right away due to personal reasons

I would love to do a PhD in AI, due to some personal reasons and being tied to my current location because of a sick parent, I wouldn’t be able to do a PhD in AI so I am thinking about doing an online masters in AI. Just looking for general suggestions/tips and whether or not a masters in AI will still get me good positions in the field
