in hindsight this idea is incredibly intuitive and simple, but i'm writing it anyway for anyone who's been too preoccupied with other shit and hasn't had a chance to think about it. i just realized that local llms can be used to build maybe the most important dataset you will ever have in your life.
seamless life integration has always been the endgame for ai products. it is very easy to foresee an agent that knows everything about your life, helps you set things right, figures out where to get a job, etc. but you can basically begin building this yourself right now, even with smaller C-tier models.
this is specifically for people who journal frequently, or have been thinking about starting a diary. instead of a piece of paper, write your diary entries into your local LLM. every day, tell it what you did, what you ate, where you were, how you felt. the reason this needs to be kept local is obviously for absolute privacy.
it collects an entire profile of you and accumulates years worth of entries, tracking your life accurately. having this kind of personal context is an unbelievable resource. if a company built a product that did this automatically, it would be their holy grail. but this is something that simply requires time and data, which means the timeline starts whenever you start. that's why i'm writing this—just to kickstart the idea.
