Why can’t we use synthetic data to help create cleaner datasets for radiological image analysis training?

Is it just much harder to do than creating synthetic data to train LLMs, similar to what AMIE did in this recent paper: https://blog.research.google/2024/01/amie-research-ai-system-for-diagnostic_12.html
