It is a Msc in Cognitive Science with a focus on Computational Modelling of Language and Cognition.
This master in Tento is a somewhat exclusive course, in the sense that it only accepts 50 candidates from all over Italy and Europe and It is quite innovative because it combines cognitive science with language and artificial intelligence.
However, I was wondering if it is a good program for working in NLP, in the practical world with data, ML models, etc .. It is a very research-oriented course, which I really like, especially because as time goes on, a PhD is becoming somewhat of a must for working in AI. However, I am not sure if it is a course focused solely on research into topics that are too theoretical and academic and not at all applicable in the professional world, or if it manages to balance the two well?
I have to choose between this one and the M.A in CL at Tubingen univeristy.
