I have been looking into AI development companies recently. I am starting to realize how difficult it is to tell which AI development companies are actually good.
Every company seems to offer AI development now, whether that is building an LLM-based application, an AI agent, an automation system, or something more specialized. Having "AI”, on a website does not necessarily mean the team knows how to build something that works well in the real world.
For me, the interesting part is what happens after the demo. Can the system handle users? Is the data handled properly? Can the team improve the product when things change?
I am wondering how other people here approach this.
If you were choosing an AI development company in 2026, what would convince you that they are actually capable of delivering a product?
