My father was diagnosed with ALS last February. Unfortunately his speech is deteriorating because of the disease. I was curious whether I could do something to help him out.
Is there anything local or online that I can use to train a text to speech model that can reproduce his voice?
We recently converted all of our analog family videos to digital formats. Not the best quality but I'd imagine there's a fair amount of data I could extract to train on. I am somewhat familiar with AI as I have spent a lot of time learning Stable Diffusion and recently diving into local LLMs.
