REPOST: Ban all use of AI, dedicate existing infrastructure to solving alignment via Congressional mandate (not OP)

Note: This is still accelerationism. They don't call for a ban on AI development. Just all that goes into making slop should be dedicated to alignment. You would still have researchers working on other important aspects of AI, just not the commercial ones according to the paper. IMO if not federally mandated all labs should take a pledge to divert a major portion of their resources towards alignment
