My grandfather was born in NYC in the late 1920s. He was an attorney, a very studious man and extremely financially conservative.

In the 1960s/70s he wrote two stock analysis newsletters. One pertaining to penny stocks and the other to stocks in general.

He passed away a decade ago and my grandmother recently sold her house and moved into an old persons facility (age 93).

She cleared her house of stuff and gave me a box containing my grandfathers complete set of newsletters. Probably the only copies in existence. Almost certainly the only complete set.

Supposedly in regards to finance he was considered to be very knowledgeable. His newsletters were respected and generated income.

After scanning and digitizing all the newsletters, I plan to use them to train a GPT. The intended goal is to use AI to channel my grandfathers analytical style and produce viable modern day stock picks.

Just registered the domain name of the newsletter.

Is this a reasonable thing to do? Or am I getting in over my head? Specifically with the intention of training AI on the newsletters and producing viable stock picks.

If someone has professional experience in AI development and would be interested in helping/partnering, feel free to reach out.

It seems to me that I’m sitting on a really unique and potentially valuable knowledge base. Probably having never touched the internet ever before.
