- A new AI algorithm has detected a potentially hazardous asteroid that had gone unnoticed by human observers, slated to fly by Earth. The algorithm, HelioLinc3D, was explicitly designed for the Vera Rubin Observatory currently under construction in Northern Chile.[1]
