This little beauty…

Sure, here is an opera version of the lyrics to Enter Sandman by Metallica:

Act I

Scene 1:

A young child is lying in bed, afraid of the dark. The Sandman, a mythical creature who brings dreams to children, appears to the child and sings to him.

Sandman:

Sleep with one eye open, Gripping your pillow tight. Exit light, enter night. Take my hand, we're off to never-never land.

Child:

I'm afraid, Sandman. I don't want to go to sleep.

Sandman:

There's nothing to be afraid of, child. I'm here to protect you.

Child:

But what about the monsters under my bed?

Sandman:

There are no monsters under your bed, child. That's just your imagination.

Child:

But I can hear them! They're growling and scratching!

Sandman:

Those are just the sounds of the night, child. They're nothing to be afraid of.

Child:

Okay, I'll try to go to sleep.

Sandman:

Goodnight, child. Sweet dreams.

Act II

Scene 2:

The child is asleep, and the Sandman begins to sing again. This time, his song is more ominous.

Sandman:

Enter Sandman, Take him away. Sleep with one eye open, Gripping your pillow tight. Exit light, enter night. Take my hand, we're off to never-never land.

The child begins to have nightmares. He sees monsters and demons. He hears screams and cries.

Sandman:

No escape from reality. Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see. I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy. Because I'm easy come, easy go, A little high, little low. Anyway the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me.

The child wakes up in a cold sweat. He is terrified.

Child:

What was that?

Sandman:

It was just a dream, child. Go back to sleep.

Child:

I can't go back to sleep. I'm too scared.

Sandman:

There's nothing to be afraid of, child. I'm here to protect you.

Child:

But what about the monsters?

Sandman:

The monsters are gone, child. They were just in your dream.

Child:

Are you sure?

Sandman:

Yes, I'm sure. Now go back to sleep.

The child closes his eyes and falls asleep. The Sandman sings him a lullaby, and the child drifts off to sleep.

Act III

Scene 3:

The child wakes up the next morning, feeling refreshed and happy. He knows that the Sandman was there to protect him, and he is no longer afraid of the dark.

Child:

Good morning, Sandman.

Sandman:

Good morning, child. Did you sleep well?

Child:

Yes, I slept very well. Thank you for coming to see me.

Sandman:

You're welcome, child. I'm always here to protect you.

Child:

I know.

The child smiles and runs off to play. The Sandman watches him go, then disappears into the night.
