In our day-to-day work, on an average we move between 11 different applications according to a Gartner report. It is always hard for us to keep up with the context switching and learning the process of how an application works. As you continue using multiple applications, different forms of data are stored across different platforms.
For you to make a business sense of what is going on, to get visibility, to understand your customers better, or to even get an understanding of what your work asks itself is constantly becoming an issue. Most of the solutions that we adopt are mostly patch work and not an ideal solution. You either use integrations that completely do not match/map the required data with several other problems or you use middleware solutions like Zapier (that comes with an additional cost, and effort).
