Does anyone know of any scholarly articles about this, or do any academic research related to this? I’m not very well versed in this stuff but I’m super curious.

I’ve also included some pictures (just found on google, not my own images) to show how I’ve seen it develop throughout the years from barely letters -> barely comprehensible string of real letters -> increasingly understandable fake words.
