Do I really need a bachelors to work in AI?

Currently 2/3 in my bachelors and I don’t know if I’m just unlucky with the recent teachers I’ve been getting, I just have ADD or I’ve enrolled with a scammy university but there’s only been once where I did anything even related to AI programming which was a facial recognition program that just required me watching a YouTube tutorial and replicating the code just to pass.

Aside from that I’ve only managed to learn a bit of C++ to which I still don’t feel confident at all. I do want to work in the AI field but I just think I’m wasting my time listening to a guy that says he’s worked in some large corporation but his classes consist of mumbling out some pre prepared power point presentation and not engaging in anything aside from that. I feel I could have better exposure from YouTube videos and on demand courses than this.

There’s obviously been the usual stories of self taught programmers getting through interviews and getting jobs but I really cannot continue wasting my time that I’ll never get back in these classes.
