Can I learn AI from home to the point of being hired for it?

I was laid off but have about 18 months of expense saved. I want to use this time to retrain in AI.

I’d like to do it in 3-5 months though, since most jobs take a long time from hire to start.

Please let me know what your recommendations would be?
