Almost Lost My Job Thanks to an AI Detector (WTF GOING ON !!)

Alright, I'm still shaking. Need to vent this and see if anyone else is dealing with this absolute bullshit scenario.

Got an email this morning about an important report I submitted for a major business venture between 2 huge companies something I poured maybe 30+ hours into over the last week.

Then my boss came to me and told me my report came back as 65% AI GENERATED.

SIXTY-FIVE PERCENT?! Are you KIDDING ME?!

I wrote every single damn word myself! Used my own brain, structured the arguments logically, cited all my sources meticulously. There was ZERO AI involved. ZERO.

I immediately set in panic and had to explain, practically swear on my life, that this was my original work. But he said "policy is policy" and this high a score requires a formal review.

This make me look like a lying cheat right when I needed to shine. My job wasn't explicitly threatened, but the implication for my standing and future in the company wasn't very clear in my bosses head.

I spent the next FOUR HOURS trying to "fix" my perfectly human writing. Swapping out perfectly good words for clunkier synonyms deliberately trying to sound less competent just to appease some shitty algorithm that thinks my analysis sounds too much like a machine.

Ran it through different detectors like Turnitin or GPTZero just to make sure it woudn’t get flagged again. And BOOM!! 40% to 75% AI generated. The damn algorithm is not even consistent!

It's gotten so ridiculous that I ended up looking for solutions on the internet and stumbled upon people talking about "AI humanizer" to pass these shit detectors. Had to use one called hastewire to pass these bullshit detectors.

The irony is physically painful! Like, imagine having to use Al to prove your human work isn't Al? What timeline are we in?!

Seriously though, is anyone else experiencing this madness? Are these detectors just fundamentally flawed because I'm genuinely baffled and wasting so much time on this.
